The Role: We have a fantastic opportunity to join our 2020 intake of Apprentice Line Mechanics based at either Balclutha, Palmerston or Ranfurly. In these roles, you will be responsible for power line construction and maintenance, performed under the supervision of our fully qualified and experienced Line Mechanics.
You will also be required to undertake fully funded external training to achieve your National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Distribution) Level 4.
We are looking for people who: • have an understanding or interest in learning about the electricity industry • are eager to learn new practical skills • sound numeracy and literacy skills • hold a Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence (minimum restricted) • hold a NCEA Level 2 or equivalent level of achievement
Prior experience in the industry is not essential and training will be provided to ensure you’re able to work safely and efficiently.
