    We have outstanding opportunities to join PowerNet in the exciting and rewarding role of Distribution Line Mechanic. We have a number of vacancies across the whole network and have depots in Invercargill, Lumsden, Te Anau, Gore, Balclutha, Palmerston, Ranfurly and Queenstown.

    Our current vacancies are in Te Anau, Gore, Palmerston, Balclutha and Invercargill

    As a Distribution Line Mechanic you will be part of a dynamic and forward thinking distribution team who safely build and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. Working Monday to Friday and being available on a rostered on-call, you will form an integral part of our organisation.

    Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

    Provide Line maintenance, construction and line fault repair services
    Install, replace and maintain overhead line equipment
    Demonstrate good working relationships with other team members, customer and contractors
    Qualified Line Mechanic with current EWRB registration
    At least 2 years post registration experience
    Current working knowledge of the industries safety regulations
