    We have an outstanding opening to join the PowerNet System Control team in this exciting and rewarding career opportunity to train as an Outage Planning Manager in our Invercargill office.

    You will embark on a two year development plan to train as an Outage Planning Manager where you will learn how to plan, coordinate and manage all of our major planned network outages and the release of network equipment ensuring that safety and supply quality is maintained.

    Experience/Knowledge/Skills
    • Certificate level in electricity distribution, or engineering or related field
    • Experienced at analysing electricity network operational performance data and managing network systems up to 66kV in an efficient, economic and safe manner
    • At least, five years’ experience in the electricity industry
    • Proficient in data analysis and report writing
    • Familiarity with the protection systems used on electricity networks up to 66 kV
    • Ability to assess, rationalise and make critical decisions relating to electricity network operation in real time
    • Skilled at relationship building and a team player
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
