We have an exciting opportunity to join the PowerNet team in the rewarding role of Electrical Engineer based in our modern Invercargill office.
As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development of the Electricity Invercargill Asset Management Plan and lead strategies in association with our teams to deliver safe, efficient and reliable power to our communities. Providing engineering support in the design and operation of our network equipment, you will be an integral part of PowerNet's Asset Management team.
You will: - Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) - Have excellent data analysis and report writing skills - Have sound technical understanding of electrical protection systems, load flow and communications equipment - Be a great communicator with experience in asset planning, contract management and customer relations - Have at least 3 years’ experience in the electrical distribution industry - Be an enthusiastic team member with a desire for continuous improvement - Be an innovative thinker - Have strong problem solving skills - Be motivated to make a difference
